A brief foray outside the capital reveals some rich pickings as the autumn season begins
As nearly everything seems to shift up to Edinburgh for a theatrical holiday, there’s been time to catch up on some recent big hitters.
Been a bit too busy prancing around on stage as Falstaff in Merry Wives of Windsor to get to much this month. However, such as it was – here it is.
February 2019 included some fringe theatre surprises, two plays by the same writer in three days, a huge let down from a supposedly superstar director, my third set of appearances at the Barbican and a brilliantly moving novel – never a dull moment!
I thought this year I’d do a monthly round up of cultural stuff giving brief reviews of things seen, heard, read and experienced. No more than 100 words per entry (though sometimes with links to more in depth scribblings).
